Airedale Terrier

The King
of Terriers

The Airedale Terrier is known as the "king of terriers" as it is a protective, brave and intelligent breed. The Airedale stands, on average, at twenty-three inches tall and is tan in color with a black saddle. The coat is wiry and lies close to the body, with a softer, shorter undercoat beneath. The temperament of the Airedale is dominant and stubborn and is better suited to an experienced owner who can use gentle consistent training to get the best from this loyal breed. Airedales is an instinctive hunter of small animals and will chase other dogs and cats unless it is socialized and trained from an early age.
